Masks

Masks are high-impact products in Korean and Japanese skincare: formats designed to deliver higher concentrations of active ingredients than those possible in leave-on products, over an extended contact time that maximizes absorption. They are not substitutes for the daily routine, but boosters that accelerate results or address specific needs when the skin needs something extra.

The range in the AurynSkin catalog covers the main formats of K-Beauty and J-Beauty tradition. Sheet masks, fabric masks soaked in serum, are the most immediate format: apply, leave on for 15-20 minutes, remove, and massage the residual serum without rinsing. Sleeping masks are applied as the last step in the evening and work overnight. Cream or gel masks are applied in an even layer and rinsed off, effective for gentle exfoliation, purification, or collagen treatments.

Every mask in our catalog addresses a specific need: emergency hydration, radiance, purification, soothing, anti-aging. No single mask does everything, but each one does its job very well.

Sheet Mask (Fabric): Made of cotton, Tencel, or biocellulose. Practical and soaked in serum, they don't require rinsing.

Hydrogel Mask: Gel masks that adhere like a second skin and provide an immediate cooling effect (ideal for inflamed skin).

Wash-off masks: Cream or clay masks, applied and rinsed off after a few minutes. Excellent for purifying or intensely nourishing skin.

Sleeping Mask: Night masks that work while you sleep, using your skin's circadian rhythm to repair tissue.

The secret is the occlusive effect. Whether it's fabric or advanced hydrogel technology, the mask creates a barrier that forces the active ingredients to penetrate deeply rather than evaporate. At Auryn Skin, we select only masks with pure ingredients: from classic hydrating masks to innovative masks that become transparent, giving you visibly transformed skin in just one application.

The mask is applied to clean skin, ideally after the toner or essence . The toner prepares the skin to better receive the mask serum.

After removal, don't rinse off the residue (unless it's a clay mask): dab the leftover serum onto your face, neck and décolleté and seal everything in with your Moisturizer .

The application time depends exclusively on the material and technology of the mask:

  • Fabric sheet masks (cotton, cellulose): The ideal time is 10-20 minutes . Never let them dry completely on your face, otherwise the fabric will begin to reabsorb moisture from your skin.
  • New-generation hydrogel masks (e.g., Biodance or Anua): These masks are designed for long sessions, from 3 to 4-5 hours (or even overnight). You'll notice that the patch, initially opaque, becomes transparent as the active ingredients penetrate the skin.
  • Wash-off Masks (Clay or Gel): Strictly follow the indicated minutes (usually 5-15) to avoid drying out the skin barrier too much.

In Korea, the "1 Day 1 Mask" trend is very popular for achieving radiant skin quickly. If you choose hydrating or soothing masks (such as those with Centella or Hyaluronic Acid), you can do so without any problems. If you use masks with strong or exfoliating active ingredients, limit use to 1-2 times a week to allow your skin to regenerate.

Don't waste it! Korean masks are very generous with serum. You can massage the excess liquid into your neck, décolleté, and arms. For long-wearing hydrogel masks, you can use the remaining serum in the sachet as a hydrating booster before applying the mask itself, enhancing its plumping effect.
